5. Core Features Overview

A. Add Product Manually

You can add products by entering:

  • product name
  • category
  • quantity
  • minimum desired stock
  • barcode, optionally

The app then classifies the item according to pantry status.

B. Barcode Scan

Grace Pantry allows users to scan a barcode and identify a product more quickly.

If a barcode is not recognized:

  • you may still be able to complete the product manually
  • support can review recurring recognition issues if reported

C. Product Photo Recognition

Grace Pantry allows users to photograph a product package and identify the main product shown.

This feature is designed to detect a single main product and always requires user review before saving.

D. Receipt Import

Grace Pantry allows users to import a shopping receipt and review detected products before adding them to the pantry.

Because receipt reading is automated, users should always review the detected results before confirming.

E. Recipes and Shopping

Grace Pantry can suggest recipes based on what is already in the pantry and allow users to add missing ingredients to the shopping list.


6. Troubleshooting Guidance

Camera Does Not Open

Please verify that Grace Pantry has permission to use your camera in your device settings.

Photo Library Does Not Open

Please verify that Grace Pantry has permission to access your photos.

Barcode Was Not Recognized

Some products may not yet be matched successfully. If this happens, you may still add the product manually.

Product Photo Was Incorrect

Try taking the image in better lighting and ensuring that only one main product package is visible.

Receipt Import Was Inaccurate

Receipt reading works best when:

  • the image is clear
  • the receipt is flat
  • the entire receipt is visible
  • the text is readable

Recipe Match Did Not Feel Accurate

Recipe suggestions depend on pantry contents and missing ingredients logic. If something seems incorrect, please share the recipe name and what you observed.


7. Subscription and Premium Support

If premium subscriptions are available in your version of Grace Pantry, they may be processed through Apple’s App Store.

For subscription-related issues, we may help with:
